Our roadmap 2020-2025

Our non-financial roadmap reflects our determination to integrate sustainability at the different levels of our operating model.

Active ownership

As per its mission statement involving the creation of a meaningful impact, the support that D’Ieteren Group brings to its businesses at the non-financial level was revisited in 2019. In particular, the Group facilitated a materiality assessment for all its businesses to enable them to challenge the focus areas they had been monitoring until then and ensure that they were taking action where it was most relevant according to the evolution of their own business.

In 2020, building upon these learnings, our businesses started designing/challenging their strategic focus areas and defining related targets and action plans. Since early 2021, they have been implementing the strategies aimed at reaching their respective ambitions and targets.

In addition, the companies that didn't have a process to measure the Group's non-financial KPIs (customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and carbon emissions) started doing so, as well as to define their own targets in these areas.

Responsible investment

D'Ieteren Group has kept improving its non-financial reporting, by aligning it with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the most widely recognized standard in terms of non-financial reporting, and by providing a detailed reporting for its four activities. After a successful readiness assessment, parts of the businesses' reporting have been submitted to an external assurance. The Group shares with its businesses the ambition to steadily extend the scope of this assurance.

In 2020, all investment cases were analysed taking environmental, social and governance aspects into account.
